Trade Engineer
Tumu Timbers Ltd is a progressive Hawkes Bay timber processing business, locally owned and operated. Our team culture is positive and enthusiastic with an emphasis on health and safety, quality and customer service.
Located in Hastings, we have two full-time, permanent nightshift positions available for practical, hands-on Engineers. In this role you will work as part of a team delivering breakdown and preventative maintenance for our manufacturing site.
Our standard nightshift hours are either Monday to Friday, Tuesday to Saturday, or Sunday to Thursday, 10 hours per day, 50 hours per week, commencing at 3.30pm and finishing at 2.30am.
To be considered you will need the following:
- A relevant trade qualification, e.g., Fitter & Turner, Mechanical Engineering (Trade)
- Preferably you have a relevant electrical qualification e.g. Electrical Service Technician (EST)
- At least three years' experience in (preferably wood) manufacturing operations automated factory or plant.
- Mechanical aptitude
- To be physically fit, adaptable, and reliable
- To be a team-player
- To be reliable with a track record of excellent punctuality and attendance
- Attention to detail

An indicative pay range for these roles is $28.00 - $35.00 per hour depending on skills and experience.
