The Longdog Cafe is currently looking for a new Chef/Cook to fill a vacancy position that is coming available soon. We are open 7 days a week during mornings and afternoons - no evenings required. We are a busy cafe situated beside the Salt Water Pool at St Clair, Dunedin. So if you enjoy the beach side, like working with a great team with a positive attitude then drop us a line:
The position will be between 5am-3pm across a 7 day rosterGood knowledge of a commercial kitchen is a bonus
On the job training will be provided

Duties and Responsibilities:
Be familiar with daily and ongoing menusOffer ideas for new dishes and, when invited, submit new menu items.
Actively seek information and advice from team members to ensure consistency and to grow your own skills.
Ensure the necessary stocks are on hand at the right quality and quantity.
Ensure each component of a dish prepared is up to standard, properly cooked and delivered on time.
Follow recipes and instructions carefully.
Clean preparation and service areas daily.
Clean other areas as required.
Be familiar with and follow the Food Control Plan. Follow all set standards.
Any other duties the employer may reasonably require.
