Cook needed in Chinese restaurant

Lanzhou Beef Noodle Ltd is located at Mt Eden, Auckland. We provide top-class Lanzhou noodles and other dishes. We now need two Cooks to help us provide top-quality food and service. This is a full-time job with guaranteed hours of 30 hours per week, but you will normally be required to work around 40 hours.

The job involves the following tasks and duties:

• Preparing and cooking all the dishes offered by the restaurant
• Seasoning food during preparation and cooking, when necessary
• Monitoring the quality of food at all stages of preparation, cooking, and presentation
• Assisting in improving dishes
• Assisting in managing the overall operation of the kitchen
• Assisting in ordering supplies and stocks
• Ensuring the kitchen’s operation complies with hygiene and safety regulations.

To qualify for the job, you will need:

• At least two years of work experience in cooking Chinese Cuisine is needed.
• A relevant certificate can replace the required work experience.
• Have a can-do attitude and be able to work under pressure since our restaurant is extremely busy during peak hours.
• You may be required to work during the weekend
• You should also have good attention to detail to make sure everything that goes through your hands are thoroughly clean
