Restaurant Manager for Japanese Restaurant
We are currently looking for a Restaurant Manager to lead our team. This is a full time position with 35 hours of minimum guaranteed hours of work.
The ideal candidate should have at least three years experience working in restaurants and one of these years at management level. At least one of these years must be in a Japanese restaurant offering table service and a la carte menu. Examples of responsibilities and qualities we are looking for are:
Responsibilities
Ensuring that customers receive prompt and quality servicesResponding to customers' inquiries and complaints
Manage staff members, responsibilities include shift planning, staff hiring and training, and delegate staff duties
Taking inventory of beverages for sale and ordering new stock and set pricing according to budget
Ensuring hygiene, safety and liquor licensing requirements or procedures are enforced
Plan menus in consultation with Head Chef and the owner
Planning, organising special functions
Maintaining financial transaction and report to the head chef and owner
Qualities
Good personal presentation and hygiene.Ability to handle pressure and solve problems.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to build relationships with colleagues and customers.
Excellent knowledge of Japanese cuisine, Japanese Sake and beveragesAbove all, an unwavering commitment to customer service and hospitality.
Must be able to work days and weekends including public holiday if required.

A GOOD WAGE WILL BE OFFERED. Hourly rate $30 - $35 depending on experience.
