Operations Manager / Supervisor

South Waikato District Council Contract - Based in Tokoroa

This is a key leadership role responsible for coordinating daily operations, managing crews, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Start Date: End of April – Mid May (flexible for the right candidate)

• Oversee day-to-day operations across the contract
• Lead, support, and supervise field crews
• Plan and schedule works to meet contract requirements
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and environmental standards
• Liaise with Council representatives, clients, and stakeholders
• Monitor productivity, performance, and reporting

• Proven experience in an operations, supervisor, or management role (civil/construction preferred)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Sound understanding of health & safety requirements
• Class 2 license (preferred but not essential)
