About Us:Cross Roads Christian Community Trust has been working with people who have life struggles since 1993 through counselling services, and since 1999 through its residential addictions and compulsive behaviours programme, (FreedomLife Te Nikau) in Paraparaumu on the Kapiti Coast.
The FreedomLife Te Nikau Programme:The residential programme is delivered by a team of people passionate about using their professional skills, and Christian faith to see people set free to live free and fruitful lives.
We take the time to deal with the whole person, and the whole of life, so the programme length is individualised from 6 months to however long is needed.
The Role:The role involves counselling, group facilitation, and involvement with other spiritual and practical activities that are part of the residential programme. At times there are opportunities also for general 1-1 counselling for people living in the wider community.
Essentials:- You will be competent to counsel a wide range of life issues, and able to facilitate small groups using video or workbooks and discussion.
- You will be comfortable in working from a Christian perspective as appropriate in counselling, and in other ministry aspects of the programme.
- You will have professional qualifications in counselling or related areas, and are, or able to become, a member of a professional association, (NZAC, NZCCA, DAPAANZ, or similar).
- You will have a full driver’s licence.
- You will have a legal right to work in New Zealand.
- Membership of your professional association is paid for.
- Regular supervision is paid for.
- Professional development training is generally paid for.
- Satisfying work.
- You will grow in your understanding of people, and counselling.
- A couple/family (with the spouse able to be involved in aspects of the ministry).
- Two positions available, one as counsellor, the other as counsellor and leadership.
Accommodation: This is a live-on situation with accommodation (4 bedrooms) suitable for families or couples.
