Hours: 40 hours per week (Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours on a rotating roster including weekends and evening shifts)
Pay Range: $35.00 – $38.00 per hour
- Rhu is an established bakery and wine bar located on Parnell Road. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality, technically precise dishes alongside simple, beautifully executed flavours. We are currently looking for a skilled, reliable, and passionate Chef de Partie (ANZSCO 351311) to join our fast-paced kitchen team.
- Key Tasks & Responsibilities
?* Coordinate directly with the Head Chef on daily kitchen operations, menu execution, and stock management.
- ?Supervise, guide, and support junior kitchen staff and kitchen hands during service while maintaining high morale.
- Organise and execute a comprehensive mise en place prior to service periods.
- Requirements (Skills, Experience, & Qualifications)
?* Qualifications: A relevant trade qualification in cookery (such as a National Certificate in Cookery) or a minimum of 3 years of verified relevant industry experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in high-volume food preparation, international cuisine techniques, and kitchen section supervision.
- Compliance: Comprehensive knowledge of professional food safety standards and kitchen sanitation protocols.
?* Attributes: Strong communication skills, a team-first attitude, and the physical stamina to thrive under pressure in a busy kitchen environment
