Operations Manager – Scaffolding Industry, Auckland

Lead the day-to-day performance of one of Auckland’s most respected scaffolding teams.
We are a well-established, family-run business known for reliability, safety, and pride in every project. We’re now entering an exciting new phase of growth, with a strong Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in place to support our next chapter.

We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to take charge of daily delivery — managing crews, trucks, and schedules — and ensure every job runs safely, efficiently, and profitably.

About the Role
You’ll be the engine room of the business.

Each day, you’ll make sure crews are ready, materials are sorted, and clients are kept informed. You’ll work closely with our General Manager, Safety Supervisor, and Office Manager as part of the SLT, helping to turn our planning and strategy into consistent, well-executed operations.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating daily crew allocations, job readiness, and schedules.
  • Overseeing quality, safety, and documentation across all sites.
  • Supporting and mentoring crew leaders to deliver high standards.
  • Communicating clearly with clients throughout each job.
  • Monitoring performance, addressing issues early, and closing out jobs efficiently.
  • Contributing to weekly leadership meetings and ongoing system improvements.
About You

You’ll bring proven scaffolding or construction experience, ideally at a supervisory or operations level. You’re practical, organised, and thrive under pressure without losing your cool. You value safety, teamwork, and clear communication — and you take real pride in a job well done.

We’re looking for someone who:
  • Has solid scaffolding or trade-based operations experience (NZ or equivalent).
  • Can lead and motivate multiple crews with clarity and respect.
  • Understands the importance of planning, structure, and accountability.
  • Is confident with digital tools (e.g., EZICheck, Google Sheets).
  • Holds a full NZ driver’s licence and Site Safe Passport.
What’s in It for You

This is a hands-on leadership role with genuine impact. You’ll have the authority and backing to shape how we operate day to day, supported by a capable GM and a tight-knit team who take pride in their work.

You’ll enjoy:
  • Competitive pay and vehicle allowance.
  • Stable, long-term employment with a trusted family-owned business.
  • A leadership voice in the company through the SLT.
  • Real respect for safety, communication, and professionalism.

How to Apply

If you’re ready to step up and lead operations for a company that values its people and reputation, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply now with your CV and a brief cover letter explaining your scaffolding experience and what leadership means to you.
