Operations Manager

Join Ritchies, one of New Zealand’s leading transport providers, and take charge of day-to-day operations at one or more bus depots. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll manage people, processes, and performance to ensure safe, efficient, and customer-focused service.

• Oversee daily depot operations including rostering, bus dispatch, and compliance.
• Lead and support operations supervisors, drivers, cleaners, and yard staff with pastoral care and performance management.
• Drive Health, Safety & Wellbeing initiatives and ensure all incidents are managed and reported promptly.
• Manage recruitment and onboarding of drivers in partnership with the People Team.
• Monitor performance data, identify trends, and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to deliver service excellence.
• Respond to customer queries and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Desirable: Experience in public transport or a similar large operational environment.
