As a consequence of this, and because the organization is interested in developing each employee to their full potential, each employee, will from time to time, be asked to take on extra duties that are designed to upgrade their skills, knowledge and abilities.

Reports to: General Manager
Head ChefThe role requires 2 years experience, and has a minimum of 30 hours per week guaranteed.
Key Tasks- The kitchen software the business uses, outlines the processes that are to be followed in the Fat Badgers Kitchen and is audited daily, and so experience in the following is critical:
- Keeping Food cool and recording temperatures on a regular basis.
- Following Pest Control Procedures.
- Sourcing and Receiving food – Received goods.
- Following Cooking Poultry, Minced Meat Procedures.
- Following Cooling Hot Food Procedures.
- Maintaining Equipment and Facilities.
- Hand Washing.
- Contamination Protection – Presentation and Clothing.
- Separating Food.
- Knowing what’s in your food – Allergens.
- Calibrations.
- Reheating Food.
- Keeping Food Hot.
- Food Seasoning during cooking.
- Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes.
- Will be required to plan menus and estimate Food requirements for ordering.
- Once experienced in the Fat Badgers Kitchen you will be required to train staff as required.
As a consequence of this, and because the organization is interested in developing each employee to their full potential, each employee, will from time to time, be asked to take on extra duties that are designed to upgrade their skills, knowledge and abilities.
These extra duties will be discussed between the employee and his/her immediate manager, and the decision to allocate them will be taken jointly.
