Archway are delighted to be recruiting for this newly created Payroll Administrator position with an organisation going through an exciting period of change. You will join a friendly and experienced team in a large well known organisation.

About the role:

The purpose of this role is to provide a client focused, efficient, and effective payroll administration and processing service by carrying out the day-to-day tasks required in the accurate preparation, completion, maintenance, and investigation of payroll matters. By doing this you will support the Payroll Team Leader and the Payroll Manager to manage the accurate processing of the pay. Your key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Administration of payroll data input, including new appointments, terminations, payments and deductions.
  • Support with the provision of timesheets.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records accurately
  • Respond to staff payroll queries with professionalism and care, and elevate urgent matters as appropriate.
  • Assist with compliance reporting and data checks
  • Provide appropriate and accurate information to third parties such as ACC, WINZ, Justice, Courts and other benefit providers
About You:

Ideally you will have previous experience in an administration role (payroll, HR or Finance experience ideal but not essential), otherwise you will have a high attention to detail and be adaptable. Beyond this, you will possess the following:

  • High attention to detail and a methodical, accurate approach
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general computer systems
  • A willingness to learn and contribute to a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A confidential and respectful attitude towards sensitive information
