Major uplift in medical oncology treatment services across Aotearoa!Permanent Full-time | Manukau Health Park40 hours per week MonFriHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleWe are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Patient Care Assistant to join our Medical Oncology team within the Northern Region Cancer & Blood Service Te Pūriri o Te Ora.

This role supports the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred cancer care across Northland and the Auckland Metro region.In the past year, the New Zealand Government has increased funding in the medicines budget by over $600 million over four years, for publicly funded provision of 33 new cancer and 33 new non-cancer medicines.
It is estimated that 92,240 patients across the country will access these medicines in the first year.Working as part of a healthcare team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Health Professional, you will support the delivery of efficient, patient-centered outpatient services.Responsibilities may include greeting and registering patients, managing appointments and outcomes, performing administrative tasks, and providing general clinic support.
Assignments may vary by session, day, week, or on a regular basis.About you:We are looking for a person who has experience working in a healthcare environment as well as a strong customer focus, excellent communication, administration skills, a commitment to providing patient focused care to the diverse community of South Auckland.
