Customer Service & Operations Assistant

The Avo Tree is a New Zealand avocado delivery business based in Te Puna, Bay of Plenty. We supply fresh avocados directly to customers across New Zealand through a delivery service.

We are seeking a reliable and organised Customer Service & Operations Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our business. This role combines customer service, administrative support, and hands-on operational work in a fast-paced environment.

• Responding to customer enquiries via email and online platforms
• Assisting customers with account enquiries, order issues, and service updates
• Maintaining and updating customer information within internal systems
• Supporting order processing and coordinating delivery information
• Assisting with packing customer orders in a fast-paced environment
• Representing the business at food shows and promotional events when required
• Supporting general operational and administrative tasks within the business
• Maintaining a clean and organised workspace, including assisting with routine cleaning of shared staff areas
• Occasional weekend work may be required for events.

• Proven customer service experience is essential
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer literacy and administrative skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• High level of attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Confidence representing the business in promotional activities, including occasional participation in marketing or social media content
