We are an authentic kebab shop committed to delivering the highest quality meals made from the freshest ingredients. We are seeking a Kebab Chef to join our team in Rotorua, New Zealand.
Purpose of the Role
The purpose of this position is to apply your culinary expertise and creativity to maintain our high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction while supporting the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook kebabs, Burgers and side dishes according to customer orders, ensuring portion control and consistent quality.
- Operate and maintain specialised cooking equipment such as charcoal grills etc.
- Monitor food stock levels, assist with menu development, and provide input on pricing and new dishes.
- Ensure all food preparation areas and procedures meet hygiene and safety standards.
- Minimum of two years’ experience or a qualification at level 4 or higher.
- Highly motivated, reliable, and detail‑oriented, with a mature attitude and initiative in the kitchen.
- Availability to work weekends and public holidays.
- Drug testing may be conducted as part of the application process to ensure safe operation of equipment.
- Hourly wage: $28 – $30.00
- Guaranteed hours: Minimum 30 hours per week
- Applicants must be lawfully able to work full‑time in New Zealand.
