As System Operator we operate the wholesale electricity market and ensure supply (provided by generators) matches demand (by electricity users).
We are also responsible for ensuring New Zealand's electricity system is reliable, competitive, and innovative as we play an integral role in the planning of New Zealand's electricity future.About the Team The Strategy, Regulation and Governance division is responsible for the development and implementation of Transpower's business strategy, and innovation, and the provision of corporate governance services and support.
They are an inclusive, high energy, authentic, and supportive group of which our Executive Assistant (EA) Team is a part.Our EA Team of six are a close-knit, collaborative, and hardworking team led by the Executive and Business Support Manager.
They play an essential role enabling our busy national Executive Leadership Team to deliver efficiency and effectively drive Transpower's 24/7 growing operations that keep the lights on for New Zealand and accelerate the electrification needed for New Zealand to meet its net zero carbon targets.
About the Opportunity This role will see you build relationships across our business and gain a unique understanding of what it takes to deliver the maintenance and capital build projects to enable the future of Aotearoa New Zealand's National Grid.
You'll provide Executive Assistant services to one of our Executive Team for approximately 65% of the role over a given day/week with the remaining 35% of your time focused on providing business support services (for divisions that do not have specific administration support).
This role has currently been assigned to support our Executive General Manager- Grid Delivery, a role which in turn forms part of our National Executive General Management Team.The General Manager Grid Delivery is from Auckland and generally works on a weekly basis out of both our Auckland and Wellington offices, as well as travelling nationally.
Your role will be based in Waikoukou, our Wellington centred corporate office, where you will work alongside our EA Team and members of the Grid Delivery Division to enable effective collaboration and greater efficiency.The services you provide will support the smooth and efficient running of both the Executive and (indirectly) the Board, allowing all parties to be as effective in their respective roles as possible.
This Executive Assistant / Business Support position provides an astute and essential service within the Grid Delivery Division and provides business support on other Divisional and cross-Divisional matters.What will you bring?You'll have exceptional relationship management skills as in this role you'll work across the Division of ~180 people and with a wide range of people
