This is a unique opportunity for someone who loves meeting people, has a passion for storytelling, and enjoys showing off the best of Waiheke’s food, wine, art, and landscapes. You’ll be responsible not only for guiding tours but also for building local relationships, exploring new experiences, and helping shape future itineraries.
Skills & Experience- Outstanding communication and people skills
- Confident and engaging public speaker
- Strong knowledge of Waiheke Island (Local)
- Full, clean driver’s licence (Class 1) & Passenger Endorsement
- Tourism or hospitality experience (advantage)
- Creative and proactive in designing memorable experiences
- Professional, punctual and well-presented
- Knowledge of wine, art, history & Maori culture
- Lead private guided tours not only on Waiheke Island but also in Auckland and further.
- Deliver commentary and local insights throughout each experience
- Build and maintain relationships with local vendors, accommodations and venues
- Research and trial new tour options and experiences
- Assist with planning and developing new tour products
- Represent the company with warmth and professionalism
- Maintaining & caring for the company vehicle to a high standard
Multiple positions are available for full-time & part-time roles for career-driven individuals or casual work for semi-retired.
