Silver Fern Motorsport Charitable Trust is a not-for-profit organisation delivering driver licence training programmes and road safety initiatives to communities across Auckland and the Waikato. We support youth and adults to overcome barriers to gaining their licence, improving access to employment, education and safer outcomes on our roads.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Silver Fern Motorsport Charitable Trust is seeking an I-Endorsed Driving Instructor to deliver practical driver training for Class 1 licence seekers (Restricted/Full) across Papakura and Pukekohe areas.You will provide lessons supporting clients through Restricted and Full licence stages, working with a diverse range of participants, including those facing barriers to licensing.
This is a pivotal role, changing lives by supporting people to gain their licence, build independence and open up employment and life opportunities.
WHAT YOU WILL DO- Deliver 6 practical driving lessons per day aligned to NZTA requirements
- Prepare clients for licence tests and support test-day readiness
- Build safe driving skills and confidence
- Work within a structured programme with full admin support
- Maintain accurate progress notes and follow internal systems
- Deliver services across your allocated West Auckland localities
- Competitive salary $66,560 p.a. plus KiwiSaver employer contribution (if applicable)

- Current I Endorsement qualification Class 1 (essential)
- Full, clean NZ Driver Licence
- Proven experience delivering driver training
- Strong understanding of NZ road rules and licensing requirements
- Strong communication skills and a supportive teaching style
- Clean Police Record (Police Vetting required)
- Must live in South Auckland locality near Papakura or Pukekohe
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand at the time of application

- Be proficient in using MS applications to complete administrative tasks linked to the role
- Be patient in supporting learners with complex needs, supporting learners to advance at their own pace
