We’re looking for an autonomous, relationship-focused Business Development Manager in Christchurch to grow our origination footprint across Christchurch and Canterbury.
The Role
You’ll represent Fico Finance in your region, identifying, engaging and converting lending opportunities through your existing network of brokers, advisors, developers and professional referrers.
This is a front-line origination role with full ownership of your pipeline, backed by an experienced credit and settlements team and fast decision-making.
You will- Originate and manage new lending transactions
- Build and service advisor, broker and third-party relationship networks
- Run deals end-to-end - from origination to post-settlement
- Monitor and report on development progress
- Maintain local referral relationships and market visibility
- Base retainer plus commission on origination fees
- Flexible, contract-based role - manage your own schedule and pipeline to focus on growth and delivery
- Modern systems, flat structure & fast decision-making
- Work closely with the senior team to shape regional lending strategy

- Proven success in business development, lending or property finance
- Commercially minded deal-maker with an established or growing Canterbury network
