- About the roleAs our fixed term Operations Transition Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the Auckland Processing Centre (APC) Manager during our busy peak season of October through to January and then lead transition activities to help shift our operations into a future-ready state from January through to May 2026.
APC is our flagship site, with state-of-the-art automated sorting technology which sets the rhythm across the rest of our network.Over this period of time, you will utilise your extensive Ops Manager experience to work closely and collaboratively with our leadership team, Operational Excellence, and People teams to reset team structures, uplift capability, and embed new rhythms and ways of working.
This is a hands-on, collaborative role where you'll guide, coach, and support our frontline leaders while driving performance and continuous improvement.Relationship skills will be your superpower.Key Responsibilities in the role will include:Support peak season operations and throughput delivery across automated and manual sortation.Lead transition planning and implementation for APC's future operating model.Coach and mentor shift leaders and operational teams.Drive Management Operating System (MOS) practices and continuous improvement.Collaborate across functions to uplift capability and reset team structures.Champion safety, wellbeing, and engagement across the site.Mōu
- About youAs the ideal candidate for this role, you will have multiple years successful experience within operational management or network coordination roles, gained within organisations of a similar size, scale and complexity to our own.
You will be able to clearly articulate strong leadership and coaching skills, with experience managing change.You will have a deep understanding of sortation systems, throughput, and performance metrics.
Familiarity with Lean, PDCA, and MOS frameworks.Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills and ideally a tertiary qualification in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain or Logistics to back it all up.This is a unique opportunity to be part of a high-impact team, build leadership capability, and leave a lasting legacy.
