The role is pretty unique in that you will be working alongside the head chef every day. This is a great opportunity for someone with good fundamental cooking skills who wants to take their cooking in a 'modern barbeque' direction.
We are just 3 full-time workers in the whole restaurant, with supportive part-time workers stepping in on the weekends when it gets busier.We work in an open kitchen in a small space. The kitchen is kept very clean and organized.
Your role and responsibilities are that of a chef de partie. Maintaining a high level of 'clean and tidy'. Executing dishes using a mix of recipes and verbal instruction. Replicating dishes as shown to the best of your ability.
The successful candidate will have:
- Fundamental cooking skills from experience in a commercial kitchen
- A positive and energetic attitude towards cooking
- Be able to take on critical feedback and take appropriate actions
- Be reliable and punctual
- A desire to learn and improve over time
