Health & Safety Manager

The Architectural Roofing Company Ltd is a locally owned and operated Roofing & Cladding specialist. We are an end-to-end business, from sales to manufacturing our own product to full installation.

We are looking for a new member of our Management team.

• Leading a positive health and safety culture
• Developing, implementing and maintaining the Health & Safety Management Plan
• Training or co-ordinating development for staff on HSE to ensure compliance
• Site inspections (pre-start along with live projects)
• Incident Investigations and implementation of any corrective actions
• Staff Inductions
• Risk assessments
• SSSP updating, working with clients on their needs
• HSE Contractor processes.
• Co-Ordination of our HSE Committee
• Anything Health & Safety related

You’ll also develop and maintain policies, procedures and emergency responses to minimise workplace/worksite hazards, as well as recording and investigating incidents and injuries and equipment damage. You’ll provide leadership in Health & Safety while driving a positive culture throughout our organisation, as well as inducting, educating, and training staff in managing workplace risk and showing our team how to improve safe working practices.

• Strong knowledge of HSE Regulations
• Previous experience in an HSE role, although does not need to be at Management level
• The ability to communicate recommendations and see things outside of the square
• Be able to cope with an ever changing environment
• A down to earth attitude with a team focus

This role will be very hands on role, where building relationships with staff and clients will be imperative along with being able to implement and manage processes.

We are based in Wigram with duties to be carried out across our work sites in Canterbury.
