Salon Manager/Hairdresser Position - Christchurch

This is a permanent full-time role, offering a minimum of 40 hours per week, with competitive pay ranging from $31 to $35 per hour, based on your qualifications and/or experience.

Responsibilities of the Role

This role includes leadership, client relations, and operational management.

• Plan and coordinate the salon's daily operations to ensure a seamless client experience.
• Manage the salon budget, implement strategies to attract and retain clients, and monitor performance metrics.

• Supervise, hire, train, and schedule salon staff to maintain a high standard of service.
• Oversee the provision of hairdressing services, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.
• Manage and monitor inventory levels for salon supplies and collaborate with vendors for procurement.
• Ensure the salon complies with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

• At least five years of experience in a similar role in hair salon management.
• A relevant NZQF Level 4 qualification in hairdressing or at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification listed above.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Exceptional communication and client service abilities.
• Knowledge of industry trends and a passion for continuous improvement.
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
