Operations Manager/Business Development
Key Responsibilities
Supporting/overseeing the dispatch and customer services teams you will oversee the daily operation planning and execution and financial performance of our transport services.
Leading and supporting a team of six direct reports (and their reports) to drive them to deliver the best results, supporting them to develop people and capabilities.
Leading and facilitating customer negotiations and ensuring that the results of these drive our Business forward.
Ensuring relationships with our customers is a top priority and be responsible for the end-to-end relationships, ensuring all orders are on time and right.
Ensuring identification of executable actions that deliver to the strategy, resulting in increased profitability.
Identify and facilitate improvement initiatives.
Responsible for the planning, delivery and execution of strategic business transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with best practice.
Effectively contribute to the overall strategic plan and ensure the strategies are being met.
About You:
You will have previous experience within the supply chain environment ideally 5+ years and a tertiary qualification.
At least 3+ years of people management experience. Proven leadership and coaching capabilities with proven results.
You will be a great communicator and collaborator. Building rapport and being an influencer come naturally to you.
You will have a good understanding of supply chain and best practice within the supply chain environment.
Ability to drive and implement new initiatives and deliver results.
You will be prepared to set and achieve challenging targets and expectations, take action, and consistently strive for outstanding results.
