Chef de Partie
Untouched World Limited, based in Christchurch, operates a world-class café known for delivering consistently delicious, healthy food alongside exceptional customer service and presentation. We’re looking for an experience talented Chef de Partie to join our amazing kitchen team.
This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Christchurch premises. The role requires a minimum of 40 hours per week, working Friday through to Tuesday as your standard days. You may also be rostered on additional days as needed.
The hourly rate for this role is $30–$35, depending on experience and skill level.
Job Description for This Position- Prepare and present high quality, creative, delicious and healthy food and drinks using the highest quality New Zealand fresh produce and ingredients, organic where practical and possible.
- Consistently deliver high standard of operation by assisting in developing and maintaining appropriate kitchen policies and procedures to support all of the menus and process and functions carried out in the kitchen.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to create an overall level of excellence in the café. Assist with rostering and staffing levels, purchasing, wastage etc to ensure the café as a whole is operating efficiently and meeting set budgets and targets.
- Assist the Head Chef to provide knowledge and training on menus and ingredients to other kitchen and front of house staff so the food can be prepared and served knowledgably and professionally.
- Assist with undertaking monthly stock takes of food and beverages and maintain appropriate disciplines to minimize Kitchen waste.
- To comply with all Health and Safety regulations
- At least two years’ relevant experience is required
- Relevant qualification or certificate is an advantage.
- Punctual and reliable with a positive can-do attitude will be key in this role
- A positive and willing attitude to learn and progress.
- Able to work with deadlines and schedules, and available to work weekends if required.
