Pay Rate: $32.00 - $34.00 per hour

Forbes Homemade Gourmet is a bustling and well-loved café and caterer known for its high-quality food and coffee. We are a tight-knit team and are seeking a motivated and experienced Manager to lead our front-of-house operations.
The Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and capable individual to take full operational control of our café. The ideal candidate will be a versatile individual with a wide range of skills, with a strong focus on people, process, and product. This is a hands-on management role that requires a proactive and experienced leader.
Key Responsibilities: Daily Operations: Open the café at 6:30 am and oversee daily operations.
Staff Management: Select, train, and supervise all front-of-house staff. This includes conducting interviews alongside the owner, training will be given on how to do rostering and approvals.Inventory and Ordering: In charge of daily ordering for everything that is not kitchen-related. This includes all front-of-house purchasing, and you will be responsible for packing front-of-house packages. You will also maintain records of stock levels and financial transactions.
Wholesale Account Management: Act as the primary contact for all wholesale customers. The owner will be teaching this process, which involves handling all orders that come in. You will also be taught how to do packing slips and invoices for wholesale customers.
Compliance and Administration: Manage all paperwork related to MPI (Ministry for Primary Industries) and health for the front of the house. You will also be creating a process and protocol manual for the entire site.
Customer Relations: Handle customer complaints, manage catering orders, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.Financial Oversight: Manage weekly money checks and sales reports.
Skills and Experience: A minimum of 3 years of management experience is preferred.
A diploma or higher qualification is desirable.Must be capable of speaking English to effectively communicate with staff, suppliers, and customers.
Proven ability to train staff and ensure quality control, particularly in coffee preparation and temperature checks.
Must be available to work weekends, with shifts starting as early as 6:30 am.
