Join our dynamic team as a Senior Auditor at Grant Thornton New Zealand, where you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality audit services to a variety of clients. In this position, you’ll work closely with our experienced Partners and Managers, allowing you to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.

About the Role:

As a Senior Auditor, you will lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements. You will have the opportunity to develop a detailed understanding of clients' business operations, evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, and guide junior team members.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Managing audit engagements, ensuring high quality and efficiency.
  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements with accuracy.
  • Identify risks and assist with appropriate audit approaches
  • Staying updated with the latest industry regulations and standards.
  • Collaborating with clients to address financial challenges and achieve their objectives.

Requirements

About you:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in external auditing.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and auditing standards.
  • Proficiency with audit software and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Professional certification (i.e., CA, CPA) is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple audits simultaneously.
  • A positive, engaging attitude towards work.
