An experienced Chef specialising in authentic Thai Cuisine and dishes
You will need to or must have:- your own transport
- a good understanding of both the Thai and English languages.
- A Minimum of 2 Years working experience specialising in Thai Cuisine.
- Thai Chef/Cook certification is an advantage and must have a knowledge and understanding of Basic Food Hygiene Standards.
- Have a knowledge of Thai cuisine ingredients and techniques and skills in food carving.
- Abilities to work as in a team with other kitchen and floor staff.
- Good Kitchen Management.
- Preparing ingredients, seasoning, cooking, portioning food and placing on plates according to customer orders.
- Prepare all sauces, soup, curries etc as required.
- Food carving, chopping, slicing, cutting and dicing.
- Maintaining stock levels, examining ingredients when received from food suppliers and storing them correctly.
- Be responsible for the correct use of all food stocks and use of all kitchen equipment.
- Be able to liaise and collaborate with other staff on complex dishes to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen.
- Enforce Food hygiene regulations by cleaning working areas and equipment correctly.
- Storing fresh ingredients in the right place and at correct temperatures and preserving foods to ensure freshness and quality and avoiding contamination.
- Liaise with other staff in planning new or special menus and estimate food requirement and cost – if required.
- Train other kitchen staff if required.
- Keep kitchen clean at all time.
