***About the role***

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive the diversification and growth of Spectrum Care's service offerings. You will build on our strategic partnerships with government and non-government agencies to enhance existing capabilities and open new avenues for service delivery.

Key responsibilities include identifying growth opportunities, strengthening current services, and leading the implementation of new solutions. The role also involves close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to transform service capabilities into market-ready offerings with clear business potential.

About you

ideally you would;
  • be adept at identifying financial risks and opportunities, ensuring that business proposals are financially viable and aligned with strategic objectives.
  • continuously seeks innovative solutions to improve services and differentiate from others in the sector.
  • connect with people at various levels and maintain strong professional networks within the sector.
  • have excellent written and verbal communication skills to present information clearly and persuasively to stakeholders and service users
  • be skilled in planning and executing strategies to improve social services delivery.
  • be well organised, ensuring that tasks are carried out in a planned and methodical manner.
  • be able to influence and direct others positively and constructively.
  • be capable of working effectively as part of a wider inter-professional team maintaining effective relationships with a wide range of external stakeholders.
*Formal qualification/educational level*
  • A post-graduate qualification in business, commerce, or a relevant discipline in social or health services, with demonstrated financial acumen.
*Essential*
  • A minimum of five years relevant and direct management experience practicing primarily in business development and service development is essential.
  • A strong understanding of the social services sector in New Zealand, along with established relationships with government or non-government organisations, is highly preferred.
