Join our dynamic and supportive interdisciplinary team at Mauri Oho – our Single Point of Access team within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.We provide specialist mental health triage, assessment, and intervention for children and young people experiencing moderate to severe mental health challenges.
This role offers the opportunity to be at the frontline of care, supporting some of our most vulnerable young people across diverse settings including homes, schools, GP clinics, and hospital environments.About the Role:You will be responsible for providing a culturally safe, family-whaanau-centred and outcome-focused social work service, embedded within a wider acute mental health pathway.

Working closely with Clinical and Cultural teams, you will:Deliver comprehensive psychosocial assessments and intervention plansProvide care coordination and crisis supportPartner with community services, schools, and NGOs to ensure holistic and responsive careSupport children and whaanau navigating complex systems including Oranga Tamariki and the Family CourtTo be successful in this role, you will need:Registration with the New Zealand Social Workers Registration Board or New Zealand Occupational Therapists Registration BoardA current Annual Practising CertificateMinimum 1–2 years of post-registration experience in Mental Health, ideally with experience in CAMHSA full NZ driver’s licence with no limitationsStrong clinical reasoning, communication, and teamwork skillsCommitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, health equity and culturally responsive practiceWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
