Reporting to the Case Management Coordinator
- Victims, this role is a national position based at Police National Headquarters, with responsibility for the management and supervision of our s29 Victim Advisors and Victim Notification Coordinators.
This role is a permanent, full-time position.
This role sits within Service, Victims and Resolutions within the Frontline Enablement workgroup.Frontline Enablement take on the complexities of case management to enable frontline staff to focus on core policing.
Our priorities include improving outcomes for Victims by delivering services that are more responsive and empathetic.
These teams support PPS and frontline staff by providing real time notification to victims of serious crime about the outcome of prosecution events in the District court, and deal with victims seeking registration through the Victim's Notification Service (VNR).
You will coordinate and monitor rostering of Victim Advisors (VA) and Victim Notification Coordinators across shifts covering 0730-1800hrs Monday to Friday, with reduced staffing rostering required for most public holidays.You will oversee allocation of VA referrals and VNR applications, ensuring compliance with national guidelines, trauma-aware processes and accurate, timely recording of data within Police systems.
You will work proactively and collaboratively with internal and external partners, building strong relationships to enhance information flow and operational effectiveness.

Policing experience and/or experience within the Justice or Victim engagement would be advantageous.Understanding of relevant legislation, including the Victims' Rights Act (2002) would be desirable.

Non-standard business hours apply for our Victim Advisors (1000-1800hrs, Monday to Friday, including most public holidays).
As a result, the Team Leader may at times need to support the team on a public holiday, depending on business/staffing requirements.Current CPK at the rank of the vacancy you are applying for (Constabulary only).

A relevant qualification and/or relevant experience within the public sector or comparable organisations would be an advantage.

Utu ā-tau | Salary This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $102,808 and $108,864 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
