About the Role
We're seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the continuous operation of our plant and equipment during the night shift. You will lead a team of maintenance professionals, ensuring both preventive maintenance and rapid response to breakdowns in a fast-paced processing environment.
As part of your leadership responsibilities, you will also:
- Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of workers and others under your supervision.
- Identify and control hazards in the workplace, promoting and enforcing safe work practices.
- Be actively involved in and support the recovery and return-to-work process for any injured team members.
- Ensure full compliance with all WHS policies and procedures.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Qualifications & Experience- Relevant Trade Qualification - Mechanical or Electrical
- 5+ years of experience supervising a maintenance team in an FMCG setting
- Strong background in industrial electrical maintenance
- Sound understanding of industrial electronics and high-speed manufacturing
- Experience in meat or food processing environments preferred
- PLC programming (if electrical)
- Familiarity with MEX maintenance systems desirable
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Great time management and organisation
- Skilled in reading and interpreting electrical drawings (if electrical)
- High level of computer literacy
- Effective conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Strong investigative and reporting abilities
