Job Description:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
- Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
- Preparing and cooking food
- Seasoning food during cooking
- Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies,sauces and garnishes
- Storing food in temperature controlled facilities
- Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
- May plan menus and estimate food requirements
- May train other kitchen staff and apprentices
- Cook relevant qualification or certificate is required and
- At least three years relevant working experience in Chinese Restaurant
- Chinese cooking skills and a passion for outstanding food
- Work well in a team as well as individually
- Be well-organized and able to multitask
- Have strong Health and Safety awareness
- Be physically fit
