Showroom Assistant / Receptionist

We are a well established Kaiapoi based business seeking a capable and customer focused Showroom Assistant / Receptionist to join our team on a 12 month maternity cover. This is a full time role and an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being the welcoming face of a business and providing a high standard of service.
About the Role

This position is the first point of contact for our customers, both in person and over the phone. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our showroom operates smoothly, supporting customers and the wider team with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcoming customers into the showroom and assisting with enquiries
  • Answering and directing phone calls and emails
  • Maintaining a tidy, well presented showroom environment
  • Processing orders, bookings, and general administration
  • Supporting sales and office staff with day to day tasks

About You

We are looking for someone who is:
  • Naturally customer service focused with a warm, professional manner
  • Calm, reliable, and confident dealing with a wide range of people
  • Well organised with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
  • Experienced in reception, customer service, or showroom environments (preferred but not essential)
This role would suit someone who values stability, takes pride in their work, and enjoys building positive relationships with customers.
