Havana Bar and Restaurant is a Wellington Icon that requires a Hospitality professional to manage its Restaurant and oversea its operations. Its Owner operated ,with a highly functioning effective team.

Job Description.
  • Managing the entire operations of the restaurant.
  • Accomplishing restaurant objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training,
assigning, scheduling, coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; communicating job
expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; enforcing policies and procedures; -Develope a strong understanding of what drives and motivates your staff to increase performance & service standards.
  • Achieve restaurant operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations
to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing
production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; determining system improvements; implementing change; -Planing menus by consulting with chefs; organising set menus and uploading menus on website and social media.
  • Upholding Host Responsibility Manual and conforming to the regulations related to the consumption of
alcoholic beverages; -Maximising profitability by ensuring portion control; monitoring the accuracy of charges; -Maintaining safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing
standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations; securing revenues; developing and implementing OSH and Evacuation plans.
  • Maintaining ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, glassware,

dinnerware, and utensil quality and placement; monitoring food presentation and service; -Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; wine trainings; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organisations; -Driving Promotions & Marketing and Customer Engagement through social media and other channels.

The Candidate.
  • You will be expected to work in a busy environment and be presentable, reliable and able to deliver under pressure while maintaining the highest quality and presentation standards.
  • Have excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • A Managers certificate and LCQ (liquor license) would be beneficial.
  • Must be flexible for shift work roster and must be able to work nights, weekends and public holidays when required.
