We are seeking of an experienced and enthusiastic Cafe Chef to join our kitchen team! We are open 7 days a week for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Hours of work
This is a permanent role with Minimum 30 hours and maximum 48 hours per week.
Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate will need to be able to work evening shifts and weekends.

Location of the job is Te Anau, Southland.

The successful candidate will need to have a minimum of 1 year experience.

Pay Banding: $25 - $30 per hour depending on experience.

We're looking for a Cafe Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time permanent basis. Immediate start available.

Work includes weekends,split shifts on a rotating weekly roster and minimum 30 hours a week.

As a Cafe chef your responsibilities will include; • The day to day running of the kitchen

Food Safety compliance
Health, Safety & Hygiene Protocols
Accident Reporting
Menu & Cabinet Food Development
Monitoring Kitchen Productivity
Stock Control & Rotation
Follow instructions.
Reliable team player
Ability to do multi-tasking, work under pressure
Making Cabinet Food
Prep and cooking Menu items
Creating new items for the menu
Ideal candidate will be working along with another chef on rotating roster who is genuinely interested and passionate about hospitality
Has a passion for great brunch food and baking
Reliable team player, Ability to do Multi-tasking, work under pressure

A good knowledge of all areas of the kitchen including cooking, baking, food prep and dietary requirements. You will be well organised, have excellent time keeping skills and the ability to multi-task. You must be clean and tidy in both your person and work station.
