Electrician
Help keep our production running at peak efficiency by applying best practice in electrical maintenance and ensuring compliance with NZ regulations and standards. This is a full-time, permanent role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, reporting to the Engineering Supervisor based at our Waitara Site.
What you will do:
- Maintain and install single and three-phase systems to NZ standards.
- Complete daily plant start-up checks and respond to breakdowns.
- Fault find and repair electrical control systems (plus minor mechanical work).
- Assess, cost, and install new equipment.
- Monitor processing systems and ensure equipment safety and compliance.
- Coordinate contractors and liaise with maintenance, production, and suppliers.
- Support health & safety and food safety standards, and complete daily documentation.
What you will bring:
- NZ Level 4 registered electrician + current practicing license
- 5+ years' experience in electrical systems and electronics
- Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical & process control
- Ability to coordinate external support and ensure compliance
