Position Overview

We are currently seeking three experienced Restaurant Managers to join our busy team on a permanent basis. Each role guarantees a minimum of 30 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours based on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • As a Restaurant Manager, your duties will include:
  • Ensuring the restaurant is adequately staffed for optimal service delivery.
-Maintaining stock levels to prevent shortages during our seven-day operations.
  • Overseeing purchasing, vetting orders, deliveries, and stock levels.
  • Collaborating with chefs on menu planning, setting specials, and pricing based on market research.
  • Developing relationships with suppliers and negotiating favorable deals.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and implementing strategies to capitalize on them.
  • Developing and implementing marketing plans.
  • Maintaining business documentation using the latest technology to enhance efficiency.
  • Monitoring trends and implementing measures based on events, weather, historical sales, and local marketing.
  • Providing regular financial analysis to maximize profitability and ensure efficient use of staff and resources.
  • Ensuring budgets are on track based on historical data, productivity, and labor ratios.
  • Training staff, including selection, interviewing, hiring, and supervision to meet our standards.
  • Organizing functions such as birthday parties and anniversary dinners in liaison with customers.
  • Handling customer feedback and resolving complaints in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring the restaurant meets health regulations and maintains cleanliness to customer satisfaction.
  • Managing reservations, greeting customers, and assisting in taking orders.

Working Hours

The successful applicants must be available to work six days a week, including weekends and public holidays, on a split-shift basis:

Morning Shift: Approximately 3 hours, starting around 11:30 AM.

Evening Shift: Up to 6 hours, starting from 4:30 PM.

Remuneration

The remuneration ranges from $25 to $30 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidates will have: A minimum of three years of relevant experience supervising a hospitality establishment.

Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Proficiency in using tools for business documentation and efficiency.
A solid understanding of financial analysis and budgeting within the hospitality sector.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to the restaurant industry.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must have New Zealand citizenship or residency, or hold a valid New Zealand work visa.
