Dairy Farm Assistant - Quest Dairy
The Opportunity**
We’re looking for a Dairy Farm Assistant to join the high-performing team at Quest Dairy. In this role, you’ll assist with a range of farm tasks — from milking, calving, and feeding stock, to effluent management, spraying, and fencing.
You’ll play an important part in the day-to-day operations and work closely with your team to help meet production and animal welfare goals.
You’ll receive full training and support, and we’ll encourage you to take the initiative, develop your skills, and support newer team members along the way. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a great work ethic and a passion for farming.

**The Farm**
Quest Dairy is a 430-hectare property milking around 1000 cows through a 54-bail rotary shed. The farm is located in the heart of the Central Plateau — a region known for its stunning landscapes, strong rural communities, and unbeatable access to outdoor adventure.

**About You**
You’ll bring a willingness to learn, get stuck in, and contribute to the team’s success. Ideally, you’ll also have:- Experience in a similar dairy farming role (or a strong interest in developing one)
- Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A proactive attitude with initiative and commitment to animal welfare and health & safety
- The ability to coach and support junior or new staff where required
- A current NZ restricted or full driver’s licence
