We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and organised full-time Restaurant Manager to lead our Takapuna restaurant operations and team.

Job Title: Restaurant Manager
Location: Auckland (Takapuna)
Employment type: Full-time and Permanent
Hours per week: Minimum 30 hours

Hourly pay: $30 - $35

Candidate Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years of relevant work experience, including managerial experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry, or a relevant qualification at the Diploma level
  • Proven ability to lead and manage restaurant operations effectively under pressure.
  • Be well presented with good leadership and people skills
  • Ability to manage a team, conduct staff training, and create work rosters
  • Knowledge of New Zealand food safety and hygiene standards, particularly familiarity with the Food Control Plan
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel for rostering, inventory management, and financial reporting
  • Effective multitasking and organizational skills in timely manner
  • Experience in planning and executing marketing and promotional activities aligned with sales targets.
The main tasks of the manager are:
  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure efficient and smooth service
  • Supervise, coordinate, and support front-of-house and kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Maintain compliance with New Zealand food safety, hygiene, health & safety regulations, and ensure dining facilities are clean and well-maintained
  • Manage purchasing, pricing, inventory levels, supplier orders, stock control, and financial records within budget
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, and engage with customers to assess and maintain high satisfaction levels
  • Lead budgeting, cost control, and preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports
  • Implement and lead marketing and promotional activities to drive sales and enhance the restaurant’s profile
  • Ensure the restaurant meets all licensing and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures to maintain consistent quality and service standards
  • Foster a positive team environment and motivate staff to deliver excellent customer service
  • Lead recruitment and onboarding processes to maintain an effective team
