Chef

Japan Taupo Limited is recruiting a chef. We are a Japanese restaurant in Taupo. Currently, we have a vacancy for a chef position. This is a full-time, permanent position with a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 40 working hours per week. The pay rate is between $30 and $35 hourly, depending on your work experience and skills.

Requirements:

Candidates for this position must have a minimum of two years of relevant full-time work experience.

Main tasks:

Prepare menus on time and according to recipes and standards

Ensure food quality meets the required standards

Preparing sauces and selecting ingredients

Monitor food quality and quantity for cost efficiency

Planning and creating a menu

Estimating costs for new menus and ensuring all costs are within budget

Monitoring and maintaining the levels of various stocks appropriately

Ensuring safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen

Inspecting supplies, equipment, and work area to ensure conformance to established standards

Training other kitchen staff

What we offer: Pay at $30 to 35 per hour

30 to 40 working hours weekly
