We are looking for a leader to bring their expertise and experience to guide the community compliance team.

About the role:

As the Team Leader - Community Compliance, you'll provide day-to-day leadership, mentoring, and professional development to your team, ensuring high standards of service delivery, consistency, and responsiveness. You'll manage the team operations, coordinate the weekly on-call roster, and set clear work programmes and goals - all while reporting on progress and metrics to support informed decision-making.

Things we will trust you with:

You'll be a key authority on a broad range of legislation and bylaws, including the Dog Control Act 1996, Litter Act 1979, Freedom Camping Act 2011, Impounding Act 1955, and the Local Government Act 2002. Your in-depth knowledge will help guide and support your team, and you'll work closely alongside the Team Leader - Regulatory Support to ensure consistent application of regulatory practices.

Vital responsibilities will include overseeing parking enforcement, freedom camping regulations and the operation of the Animal Shelter, ensuring procedures are followed, protocols are maintained, and the health and well-being of the animals in our care are closely monitored.

About you:

You're confident in developing best-practice policies and processes particularly in investigative or enforcement contexts and have experience representing an organisation in legal proceedings or hearings.

If you're a confident communicator, thrive in a dynamic environment, and are passionate about making a difference in your community then we want to hear from you.
