About our work:

You’ll undertake diesel mechanic tasks for heavy engineering shipbuilding industry, including:

  • Diagnosis and repairs
  • Maintenance
  • Sea trials
  • Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Accurate completion of paperwork and documentation
About you:
We need you to:
  • Be a qualified tradesperson with a minimum of 3 years' experience
  • Hold a valid NZ driver's license and have a clean driving record
  • Possess good self-motivation and have a high standard of workmanship.
  • Have solid problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Be organised and able to deal with conflicting priorities and work under pressure
  • Be capable of working well in a team environment, with a good attitude to and respect for other staff members
  • Be a champion of health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace
  • Have physical stamina and agility to work in a marine environment.
  • Be able to travel for clients when needed
