Join an enthusiastic team at the Winifreds Bar and kitchen In Napier.

We are seeking a full time entry level cook with a minimum of 1-2 years experience in a commercial kitchen.

Full Trainings will be provided in regards to menu, Food presentation etc.

Task and responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Food/ingredients preparation and cooking, plating, presentation.
Preparing/cooking meals according to head chef's recipes on a respectable level.

Control stock and order food supplies when necessary to meet demand but avoid waste.

Ensure that food and ingredients are properly stored and preserved; Be familiar with and follow the Food Control Plan.

Monitor food dishes quality at all stages of food preparation and presentation process;

General kitchen duties including hygiene knowledge and cleaning of cooking and preparation station.

Responsible for the tidiness and cleanliness of the equipment and environments in the kitchen and make sure that correct procedures and guidelines are followed.

Train other kitchen staffs by demonstrating techniques and advising on preparation of food menu.

Follow hygiene and safety regulations and explain them to other kitchen and waiting staffs.

Ensure individual responsibilities are ready to meet daily, function and special requirements.

Communicate with director, other chefs and kitchen staffs in relation to any quality issue;

Job requirements:

Having minimum of 1-2 years of kitchen experience.
Must be able to work weekend and overtime
Energetic and outgoing

Able to work well in a team and maintain food quality and consistent.
