2 x Thai Chef Required – Full-Time Permanent Role
Location: Bay of Plenty, Tauranga, New ZealandMinimum Guaranteed Hours: 30–40 hours per week
We are seeking for two skilled and experienced Thai Chefs to join our team in delivering high-quality and authentic Thai cuisine. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Bay of Plenty.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a wide range of traditional Thai dishes with precision and consistencyPlan menus, portion sizes, and ingredient requirements to ensure efficient kitchen operations
Ensure high standards of food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness, and compliance with food safety regulations
Monitor inventory, assist with ordering supplies, and manage ingredient stock levels
Supervise kitchen staff where necessary and provide training in Thai cooking methods
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction
Cater to special dietary needs and customer preferences as required
Qualifications and Experience Required:
A minimum of 1 years of verifiable work experience as a Thai Chef in a commercial kitchen settingA formal qualification in Thai culinary arts (e.g. Thai cooking certificate or diploma)
In-depth knowledge of Thai cooking techniques, traditional recipes, ingredients, and presentation
Strong ability to work under pressure in a high-volume kitchen environment
Good command of Thai language ability is advantageous
Excellent teamwork, communication, and time management skills
