About the Role:
We’re looking for a hands-on, proactiveService Technicianto join our client’s engineering team. You’ll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and assembling equipment, delivering preventative maintenance programs, and ensuring customers receive exceptional support on-site and remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and schedule service work, prepare accurate quotes, and compile all required documentation.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs at customer sites across Australasia.
- Develop maintenance programs for new and existing machinery.
- Assemble and fit rollformer systems and other mechanical equipment to high-quality standards.
- Diagnose faults and conduct mechanical repairs across a range of systems.
- Keep detailed records of work carried out and maintenance performed.
- Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards.
- Support mechanical installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities.
What You’ll Bring:
- Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Solid experience as a Fitter Turner, Maintenance Engineer, or similar.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Skilled in the use of lathes, milling machines, and general workshop tools.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork.
- Sound knowledge of Health & Safety practices.
- Methodical, proactive, and quality-driven approach.
Desirable Experience:
- Exposure to hydraulics, pneumatics, or electrical systems.
- Experience in Lean manufacturing environments.
- Competency using Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
