Our client, a well-established and expanding company in the food manufacturing sector, is seeking an experienced Knife Hand to join their growing team based in Mt. Wellington. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic, excellent knife skills, and a passion for seafood processing.

Job Title: Knife Hand
Location: Mt. Wellington
Hourly Rate: Competitive – based on experience

Hours: Sunday to Friday, 7:00 pm to 4:30 am (Night Shift)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fillet, trim, and portion seafood products to precise specifications.
  • Ensure consistent quality and presentation of seafood items.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety standards.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced, cold environment (chilled processing area).
  • Identify and report any product defects or quality issues.
  • Assist with cleaning and sanitizing equipment and workstations.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to meet production targets and deadlines.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in food manufacturing or seafood processing.
  • Strong, demonstrated knife-handling and filleting skills.
  • Punctual, dependable, and able to work night shifts.
  • Able to work on your feet for long periods in a cold environment.
  • Works well with others and communicates effectively.
