About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the workshop in Lower Hutt. In this role, you will oversee a team of skilled diesel mechanics, ensuring the efficient repair and servicing of a variety of heavy equipment.You will foster a productive and positive work environment, maintain high standards of workmanship, provide support to your team, and build strong, lasting relationships with customers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of diesel mechanics.
- Take a hands-on approach to assist in workshop operations as needed.
- Liaise directly with customers, ensuring excellent service delivery.
- Manage and oversee daily workshop operations.
- Ensure all documentation and paperwork are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety practices.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within the heavy equipment or related industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport with your team and customers.
- A proactive, positive attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
- Effective time management and organisational skills.
- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on capability.
- Competitive remuneration $120k-$130k
