The West Oxford Hotel, Oxford – North Canterbury

We are a busy, country pub in Oxford, known for our delicious, locally sourced food and warm, welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Pub Chef to join our team.

We are looking for a cook/chef or someone with the passion to cook, to join our awesome team.

• Thursdays & Fridays (11am-3pm & 5pm-9pm)
• Saturdays (11am-3pm one week and 11am-3pm & 5-9pm every 2nd week)
• Split shift open for negotiation

• Daily food preparation.
• Help the team with the stock management process on daily basis.
• Material handling and ensuring safe storage of food.
• Ensure that the work complies with health and safety procedures.
• Cook and prepare meals with love and enjoyment in a professional manner.

• Hospitality or culinary qualification is preferable but not a must. A passion for cooking is required.
• 12 months hospitality experience in any cuisine is preferred but if you are an amazing home cook ready to take that next step into a commercial kitchen then don't be afraid to apply.
• Able to work independently and demonstrate commitment to the role.
• Good time management and communication skills.
• You must hold the right to work in New Zealand.
