Contract Project Manager - Christchurch
$70–$85/hr | Paid travel & accommodation | 6-Month Contract
Acting as the main contractor on behalf of a commercial developer, you’ll take full control from pre-construction through to project delivery. This is a hands-on, autonomous role where you’ll manage every aspect of two small but critical projects - one in Christchurch, the other in Greymouth.

You’ll be responsible for delivering two projects across two locations:
- A $1M commercial refurbishment/fit-out in Christchurch
- A $3M reclad in Greymouth
You’ll travel between both sites as needed, managing everything from procurement to programming and on-site delivery. You’ll be the one calling the shots—managing contracts, subcontractors, reporting on financials, and ensuring the job gets done right, on time, and safely.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong procurement experience across trades
- End-to-end project delivery (pre-construction to handover)
- Existing relationships with local subcontractors
- Exposure to commercial projects up to $5M
- Solid programming and scheduling experience
- Excellent health & safety and contract management knowledge
