Project Manager - Christchurch

We are seeking a motivated Construction/Project Manager to become part of our management team. You will need to have at least 5 years of working and running sites in New Zealand. With a proven track record in residential construction. Quality will be synonymous in everything you do.

• Keeping project documentation and records up to date
• Liaising with the Foreman on the day to day running of the sites, adjusting labour where necessary.
• Creating and keeping up to date Ghant charts, monitoring of projects from start to finish.
• Keeping up good subcontractor relationships
• Council documentation submission for CCC.
• Client liaison with onsite meetings & status reports on progress
• Responsibility over delivering projects on time and on budget.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is present to complete jobs.
• Handover all relevant information to site foreman before the start of each job
• Proactively problem solve issues. Liaise with design team and QS.
• Set and communicate quality control standards.
• Responsibility for documenting critical path deadlines.
• Ensure H&S protocols are being followed and documents completed by the team.
• Organize long lead items to be ordered for projects if required.
• Complete timelines with the Foreman and help lead your team to the end of the project.
• Audit sites to ensure Foreman’s are on track, help problem solve and keep quality of jobs a high standard.
• Check and complete all subtrade inspection reports.
• Provide updates in managers weekly meetings on projects.

• Excellent client liaison and communication skills
• Good knowledge of NZS 3604 and NZ construction processes/techniques
• A good eye for detail and ensuring a quality finish
